Earlier diagnosis of COPD is possible in primary care thereby saving lung function and improving overall outcomes. Professor Van Zyl-Smit, UCT will discuss with in CONVERSATION host, Dr Rust Theron, how alert clinicians can identify at-high risk patients (including non-smokers who vape), based on careful history taking and inexpensive pulmonary testing. Practical tips on therapy and red flags for referral will be presented.
